Many people don’t realize the importance of a good neurologist until they are in a situation where they need one.  Recently my dad was having a lot of problems.  He didn’t know what was wrong with his body, and was worried that he was getting some form of arthritis.  He went to a doctor who told him he needed to make an appointment with a Neurology center to have some tests ran to see what is really going on.  After a bunch of tests taken, it was discovered that my dad had a disease called Wegener's Vasculitis.  Thanks to all the tests that were run, and the amazing doctors who helped him, my dad caught this disease early, and quickly tackled the disease which was inside of him.  Many people when they discover they have Wegener’s Vasculitis find it too late, and it’s already attacked all their organs, they are then in a place where they are un-savable.  I’m so grateful we found the very best doctors and neurologist to help us figure out what was wrong with my dad so that he can live a long healthy life together with our family.

Discovering What Wall Decals Can Do For Your Home

Decorating my home is one of my very favorite things to do.  I love to take a snapshot of every room before I start my decorating and after, and it’s amazing what a little decorations can do to add style and class to any room in the home.  Just a couple weeks ago I went to a parade of homes near my house.  This is something I do every year, I love to go look at all the houses and get some good decorating tips from the high end decorators which decorate all of the houses.  One thing I found as I toured all the houses was that a lot of the homes had some amazing and stunning wall décor, which gave me some great ideas for my own home.

Add Color to Your Walls

By adding some simple color to your walls you can make any room look amazing.  I noticed that in a lot of the homes that we went in, people had amazing color on their walls.  It gave character to the room and made it look amazing.  One of the houses we went in had a turquoise accent wall that looked amazing I just loved it; it made me want to go home and change the colors of my kitchen to turquoise and do an accent wall for it.  I love getting ideas from other decorators.

Add Vinyl Lettering to Your Walls

Another thing you could do to decorate your home beautifully would be to add vinyl lettering around your home.  It’s amazing what some vinyl lettering and pictures can do to add to the home.  Many houses I went in had famous quotes under clocks and family pictures, or even had wall decals on the walls in the nursery, it was amazing!  After touring all the houses I went home and bought a bunch of vinyl lettering to place all over my house, it totally gave it the look it needed and looked amazing.

Why We Are So Blessed To Have Carpet

Carpet is a very good thing to have in a home.  It makes the home warm and friendly, while providing comfort.  I couldn’t even imagine what life would be like without carpet.  My husband just got back from a trip to Haiti.  He helped provide them running water to their villages, and they were so grateful.  When he got home he was showing me pictures of the houses they lived in, and the types of belongings that they had.  One thing I noticed when looking at these houses was that they didn’t have any types of carpet in their tiny little homes, and didn’t even have electricity.  It made me so sad to see that people live like this, but they were just the happiest people around.  This got me thinking about my own life, and all the wonderful things I have been blessed with that I take for granite every day.  One of those things would definitely be my carpet.

A few years ago we moved into a brand new home, I was so picky about everything that went in my home, and had to upgrade everything.  Something I was extremely picky about was my carpet.  I had to have the very best smart carpet out there with the very best carpet pad.   Carpet is something that means a lot to me.  I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect carpet, and finally found exactly what I was looking for.  The poor people in Haiti would give anything for a simple piece of carpet, and I had to have the very best of the best, which isn’t a bad thing, but I just need to take more time to notice all the blessings I have in my life, and really take care of the nice things I have.

Time and time again I find myself doing things on my carpet that I really shouldn’t.  I find myself doing things like eating dinner on it, drinking grape juice, and even letting my muddy dog run across it after he comes in from outside.  To truly show my gratitude for the things I have, and all I have been blessed with, I really need to take the time to take care of all my belongings, and truly show my appreciation for them.

I’m so grateful my husband had the opportunity to help those in Haiti; it made me realize how much we truly have, and helped me want to take better care of our things in our home.  From this day forward I’m going to make a goal to take extra good care of my smart carpet, and all my other belongings.  We truly are a blessed people.
